The Port

The Port of San Miguel is situated on the northern coast of Ibiza and is 5 minutes away from the town of san Miguel. Set in the beautiful countryside, it is no wonder why this is such a popular place for tourists to visit. You can get away from the hustle and bustle of city life here and there are a number of lovely resorts to choose from. Go down to the port to get your fix of shopping before you sit down to lunch in one of the many restaurants that overlook the sea.

The beachesPuerto San Miguel

The beach offers guests stunning turquoise waters that are surrounded by local vegetation, fabulous restaurants, bars and shops. The beach here at Puerto San Miguel is sheltered by mountains, and the water is calm, which means that kids can swim safely and mommies and daddies do not have to worry that much about their little ones. It really is a perfect place for families to visit.

Sightseeing

There are so many things to do while on holiday in Puerto San Miguel. A fun way to spend the day out, is to visit Can Marca caves, where you will be able to listen to music and see a fantastic lights show. Another popular thing to see is the traditional folk dancing that takes place every Thursday near the town. Do not forget to visit San Antonio, Ibiza Town and Santa Eulalia while you are here. They are all located about thirty minutes away from Puerto San Miguel, so there really is no excuse why you cannot go there.

Water Sports

As you can well imagine, you will not have trouble finding different water sports to take part in when you are in Ibiza. The crystal clear waters are the perfect place to give diving a try. Try your hand at jet skiing, snorkelling or windsurfing. If you cannot dive, you can take a few classes at the nearby diving school before you go to the dive centre to hire all your equipment. Be sure to take a professional with you the first few times.

Hiking and Cycling

The surrounding countryside makes for the perfect setting to take a leisurely stroll of bike ride. You can hire bikes for the whole family, pack a picnic basket and head to the hills for lunch. It is a great way to spend quality time with your loved ones and is a nice alternative to spending the day at the beach.

Restaurants

The beachfront has a lot of different cafes and restaurants for you to try out. The best part is the fact that you can watch the ocean while you sip on your ice-cold beer of glass of wine. Port Balansat is well know and is said to have the best seafood in town. If you are looking for something more traditional, then there are many Ibizian dishes available and even some British food for those of you who are slightly home sick.

The Nightlife

Here in Puerto San Miguel you will find the best of both worlds. Try out one of the many laid back bars and clubs that offer some of the best traditional music on the beach front, or go down to Ibiza Town to party the night away. Whether you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere or a dance floor of note, you are sure to find just what you need here.
